To avoid common registrar pitfall, we can process the domain transfer smoothly with the following guidelines.
Domain Only Transfer:
- Make sure that the domain is unlocked from your current domain registrar and ready for transfer.
- If you do not have a website or service or already moved your files to a different hosting provider, you may modify your DNS before the actual move.
- Provide the EPP code or sometimes called transfer code. You can obtain this from your current registrar control panel or simply ask your registrar to send it to you.
- We will send you an email about the transfer request and all you need to do is click on the link stated on the email to approve the transfer request.
Domain and Hosting Transfer:
- Make sure that the domain is unlocked from your current domain registrar and ready for transfer.
- Please provide your cPanel user and password so we can transfer your files to our server before the domain transfer. That way we ensure that your website will have minimal downtime if any and your data is copied and updated in our server.
- Provide the EPP code or sometimes called transfer code. You can obtain this from your current registrar control panel or simply ask your registrar to send it to you.
- At this point before the actual transfer request, you can point your domain's DNS to our server, make sure you clear this with us first and that all files are successfully transferred.
- Once its already resolving to our server, you may proceed with the domain transfer request.
Patience, this is the most important part of any task as it could take up to 5 days on normal instances for the domain to be fully transferred to us.
